Apple Cream Cheese Pie

Our apple cream cheese pie is loaded with juicy apples atop a cream cheese base and baked in a puff pastry shell.  No pie pan required!

Make filling

Start by making the cream cheese filling.  Mix together cream cheese, an egg, sugar and spices.  Stir in toasted walnuts for some added crunch.

Prepare apples

Core, peel and slice apples. Toss with a mixture of sugar, cornstarch, salt and spices. Set bowl aside until ready to assemble the pie.

Add filling

Cut a sheet of puff pastry into a 10" circle.  Place the cream cheese in the middle and spread to within 1 1/2" of the pastry edge.

Arrange Apples

Place apples in a spiral pattern on top of the cream cheese filling. Lightly brush apples with melted butter and sprinkle with cinnamon sugar.

Fold puff pastry

Carefully fold the puff pastry over the apples and cream cheese filling.  Pinch the dough to seal.  Your pie is now ready for the oven!

Enjoy!
