Homemade Caramel Candies

This simple homemade caramels recipe produces chewy, buttery candies. Sea salt and vanilla bean add taste to this much-loved candy recipe. 

Ingredients

Gather ingredients: sugar, corn syrup, butter, vanilla, sweetened condensed milk and sea salt.  

Prepare Pan

Prepare an 8" x 8" cake pan. Lightly butter pan and place two strips of parchment paper in the pan.  This makes removal of the caramels a breeze! 

Make Caramel

Make the caramel following the instructions in the link below.  You do need a candy thermometer to monitor the temperature.

Use caution! The caramel is very hot!

Cool then Enjoy!
