Frito Fruckies

This Frito Fruckies recipe produces the ultimate sweet and salty treat. These goodies are loaded with Frito corn chips, a creamy peanut butter sauce and a chocolate and peanut topping.

Equipment

  • 1 9" x 13" baking pan
  • 1 Heat-Resistant Spatula
  • 1 2-quart saucepan

Ingredients
  

  • 9 ¼ ounce Frito corn chips bag
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup light corn syrup
  • 1 cup peanut butter chunky or smooth
  • 1 ½ cup mini chocolate chips
  • ½ cup roasted peanuts chopped

Instructions
 

  • Butter a 9" x 13" heat-resistant baking pan. Pour Fritos into the pan.
  • Bring sugar and corn syrup to a boil. Use caution as the mixture is very hot.
  • Remove pan from heat. Add peanut butter and whisk until smooth.
  • Pour the hot mixture evenly over the Fritos.
  • Sprinkle chocolate chips over the Fritos and hot peanut butter syrup. Allow the chips to melt for a few minutes and smooth with an offset spatula.
  • Sprinkle peanuts over the chocolate. Allow the Fruckies to rest at room temperature until completely cooled (approximately one hour). Serve and enjoy!
