Equipment

  • 1 sheet of wax paper
  • 1 Cookie Sheet Pan
  • Bowls, measuring cups and spoons

Ingredients

  • 16 whole strawberries rinsed and dried
  • 1 ½ cups white chocolate candy wafers
  • 2 tablespoons dark chocolate chips

Instructions

  • Line a sheet pan with a piece of wax
  • Melt candy wafers as directed on package. (note: most often this will include melting in a microwave at 50% power in 20 - 30 second bursts)
  • Dip each strawberry in the melted candy wafers and set on the wax paper. Drag some excess chocolate in front of the strawberry as you put it down to create a ghost 'tail'.
  • Set strawberries aside and allow the white chocolate to set.
  • Gently melt the dark chocolate in a microwave at 50% power in 20 - 30 second bursts, stirring well between each heating.
  • Place chocolate in a piping bag with a small hole cut out or fitted with a #1 piping tip. Pipe eyes and mouth on each ghost. Store in an airtight container and place in refrigerator until ready to serve.
