Equipment

Ingredients

  • 1 Box Brownie mix
  • ¼ Cup Chocolate or Candy melts
  • 2 Tablespoons Sprinkles red, pink and white

Instructions

Brownies

  • Preheat oven to 350℉ / 177℃ (or the temperature specified on brownie mix box).
  • Lightly grease a 9"x13" pan with butter or baking spray. Line with parchment paper. Leave some parchment hanging over the edges of the pan to create "handles." These handles will make it easy to lift brownies out of the pan.
  • Prepare the brownie mix by following the instructions on the package.
  • Once the batter is ready, you can mix in extra ingredients like nuts, candy, or anything else you'd like to add for more flavor and texture.
  • Bake the brownies according to directions on the box.
  • Let brownies cool completely, then carefully lift them out of the pan using the parchment paper handles.
  • Cut the brownies into nine 2 ¼-inch squares, and use the leftover pieces to cut out heart shapes.

Decorate

  • Use melted chocolate or candy melts to pipe X’s, O’s, and heart shapes onto parchment paper. Make a few extras of each design to account for any that might break.
  • While your piped designs are still wet, generously cover with red, white and pink sprinkles. Place in refrigerator for 15 minutes to set.
  • Carefully lift the designs off the parchment paper and attach them to the brownies by using a small amount of melted chocolate as glue. Press gently to secure them in place.
