Equipment

  • 2 Microwave-safe bowls
  • 1 Rubber spatula
  • Measuring Cups
  • 1 9x9" square pan may also use a small sheet pan (e.g. 9x13" for thinner Oreo bark)
  • 1 Parchment paper
  • 1 Toothpick
  • 1 Offset spatula or spoon

Ingredients

Oreo Layer

  • Cups Oreos crushed
  • Cups Chocolate chips, bittersweet

Bark layer

  • 12 Ounces White candy wafers
  • 4 Ounces Green candy wafers
  • Sprinkles and other decorations

Instructions

Prepare pan

  • If using a 9x9" square pan: Cut two pieces of parchment paper, each large enough to cover the bottom and sides of your pan. Lay one piece in the pan, then place the second piece on top, crisscrossed in the opposite direction. Make sure to leave some parchment hanging over the edges of the pan to create "handles." These handles will make it easy to lift the bark out once it is set.
  • If using a sheet pan, place a piece of parchment paper or a silicone baking on the pan.

Oreo bark

  • Note: follow the manufacturer's instructions for melting candy wafers and chocolate. Typically, you'll place the candy wafers or chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl. Heat in the microwave at 50% power for 20-second intervals, stirring well each time until it's completely melted.
  • Melt chocolate chips and pour into prepared pan. Spread evenly using an offset spatula or spoon.
  • Sprinkle crushed Oreos over melted chocolate. Set aside for 10 minutes or until chocolate has hardened.
  • Melt white candy wafers and pour over chocolate and Oreos. Spread evenly.
  • Drizzle various shades of green candy melts over the white base.
  • Use a toothpick to gently swirl the candy melts, creating a marbled effect.
  • Lightly scatter green and white sprinkles on top

Unmolding

  • To remove Oreo bark from the pan, carefully lift the edges of the parchment paper and transfer it to a work surface. Then, break it into pieces of your desired size.

Notes

Be cautious when melting candy wafers as they can scorch easily if overheated or heated too quickly. To ensure the best results, follow the manufacturer's instructions on the packaging closely. Using low and steady heat, whether in a microwave or on the stovetop, will help prevent burning and keep the texture smooth.
