Ingredients
Gather the following ingredients to make these homemade protein granola bars:

- Oatmeal - use old-fashioned oats. Quick cooking oats may cause the bars to be mushy.
- Eggs - you need two whole eggs and one egg yolk for this recipe (the egg yolk adds moisture to the bars). Use large eggs and bring to room temperature before starting recipe
- Peanut butter - use natural peanut butter with no added sugar, and stir well to fully incorporate the oils before using..
- Honey
- Protein powder - use a vanilla or unflavored whey protein powder
- Banana - this recipe calls for one ripe banana, mashed until smooth.
- Chocolate chips - you can replace the chocolate chips with mix-ins like roasted nuts, raisins, chopped dates, or your favorite add-ins.
